Aloo Pakora Recipe

Ingredients:


  • 2 large potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup chickpea flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Oil, for frying

Recipe:


Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
In a mixing bowl, combine gram flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, and salt.

Gradually add water to the mixing bowl, whisking continuously to make a smooth and thick batter.

Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.

Dip each potato slice into the batter, coating it well, and gently drop into hot oil.

Fry the pakoras until golden brown and crispy, flipping occasionally.

Remove the pakoras from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.

Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
