How to Fry Fish at Home
Ingredients
1 pound of fish fillets
1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
1/4 teaspoon of paprika
1/4 cup of vegetable oil
Recipe:
Clean the fish thoroughly by removing the scales, gutting it and washing it with cold water.
Cut the fish into smaller pieces or fillets, depending on your preference.
Season the fish with salt, pepper or any other desired spices. You can also marinate it for a few hours in the fridge to enhance the flavor.
Prepare the coating by mixing flour, cornmeal, bread crumbs or any other preferred coating in a bowl.
Beat one or two eggs in another bowl and set aside.
Dip the fish in the egg mixture, and then coat it with the flour mixture.
Heat oil in a deep-frying pan or pot until it reaches a temperature of around 350 °F.
Carefully place the fish in the hot oil and fry until golden brown. Turn the fish occasionally to ensure even cooking.
Once the fish is cooked, remove it from the oil and place it on a paper towel to drain the excess oil.
Serve the fish hot with your favorite sides and enjoy!
